Something I shared with a group of entrepreneurs weeks ago.
To those who haven't watched it yet, this can be something you could pick something from.
One of my biggest dreams is to be able to write my own version of stories like this -- well, hopefully a story of myself.
The lessons are clear and I can list a number of them:
1. Never let any difficulty stop you from reaching your goal. Sounds like a cliché, but yes...that's powerful. Resilience is priceless.
2. Teamwork works. That makes a lot of sense with individuals moving towards the same direction.
3. Never be ashamed to sell (products or skills). Be proud of what you have to offer. Also be proud of yourself.
4. Do network. You may never know, the “light bulb moment” you have been waiting for may be coming from a random stranger.
5. Have a system. Loads of activities without a system won't make much progress.
6. Focus on the most important. Quantity is good, but quality is better.
7. Accept changes. Be uncomfortable (that's fine), but don't be afraid of it. Don't let it stop you. It is the key to innovation. Innovation is a factor on achieving something big.
8. Never limit your possibilities. The greatest accomplishments come from the biggest dreams. There is never a silly idea to someone who wants to achieve something.
It feels good to learn new things, or at least be reminded of the lessons we already learned bur not fully applied in life.
We, indeed, should start doing something now.

"Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
If you were to be asked, what are your big dreams? Read on to see one of mine.
Last year, I had the very wonderful experience of visiting the World's largest floating bookstore (the ship in the background) when it docked to Manila. It's MV Logos Hope, ship that sails around the world. Even I went there alone, it was a remarkable experience. This 'Hope' led me to dream of another thing big.
My big dream is to have one like this. Does not have to be as grand in size; but I want to own a ship that travels around the world, houses many books (because I love reading), a little coffee shop where people could sit for exchange of ideas over a cup of any delicious coffee from parts of the world. I also want it to have a cozy living room where one could relax. A place where kids and toddler would play and explore. It would also love to have a sort of a huddle room conducive to learning. This is where learning and teaching will take place; especially that I also dream to get heavily involved in social entrepreneurship and charity works.
In God's perfect timing and will, it could happen. Not impossible.

Most entrepreneurs learn the hard way. The most important thing is that we learn.
This made my week. And very timely, this is exactly one of the good lessons I've learn from one of my business mentors.
Some points debatable. But the key point is there... the most rewarding way is to enjoy it according to the actual process. Help people instead of bugging them. Do what needs to be done. Do whatever it takes, but do only what's doable. Thus, there are the terms FEASIBILITY STUDIES and CALCULATED RISKS. It's not putting limits to your capabilities, but being realistic on every situation.
In business or in employment, or in any aspect of life; the HAPPY ones produce the most result -- and it's often 99.9% fulfilling :)
Key Takeaway:
And as you do these things, don't forget that it is just a ride. And keep your balance no matter high the highs and how low the lows. And be happy -- because at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

If I were job-hunting and the company is doing a background check in social networking sites, I could have lost some thousand-peso opportunities because of this post. Haha!
(I hope this doesn't ruin my blogging credentials, too.)
My browser has just been re-installed after a system reformat. When things are running way faster than the usual, I get the chance to catch the lighter side of life in front of my computer. ^_^

Exactly the same date last year, I was very happy that I couldn't contain.
Today, I am twice happier for an exact opposite reason.

To sometimes ask, "What's in it for me?" is human. To always ponder, "What do I have to share?" is noble!
Sometimes, a better question could be, "What's in it for me so that I could help another?"
We should remember though, that we can't ever give what we never have. If it is yet out of sight, we need to be religiously seeking -- for ourselves and others.
