The Pencil and the Pencilmaker

Happened to check my Friendster blogs and found this one -- something I posted 6 years ago.

This is a beautiful allegory shared to me by a friend through a text message.

The Pencilmaker told the pencils 5 important lessons:

  • Everything you do will always leave a mark;
  • You can always correct the mistakes you make;
  • What is important is what is inside you;
  • In life, you will undergo painful sharpenings that will make you a better pencil.; and
  • The most important is to be the best pencil you can be. You must allow yourself to be guided by the Hand that holds you.
